To be part of our scrapstore and to buy our brilliant stuff you will need membership.
Membership means
Unlimited number of visits to our brilliant ever changing warehouse to stock up on a wide range of low cost and free waste materials - including fabric, paper, card and lots more.
Advice & Information from our experienced team of friendly staff, always on hand to answer queries, or offer advice on materials and products, or planning your creative and arts activities with your group.
You will also be supporting an environmental social enterprise which is not for profit and relies on memberships to meet its social aims which are :
Divert as much waste from landfill as possible.
Promote the idea that waste materials are precious resources.
Promote environmental awareness by re-using non-toxic waste materials in creative activities
We now have over 1000 active members and this figure rises daily. Please keep spreading the word. Don’t keep it a secret the more people know the more scrap we can divert.
MEMBER FEES
Individual members pay 6.00 per year
Organisations pay £30.00 per year this entitles eight members of this organisation to buy from the resource.
You can visit the shop before joining and can either download the relevant form to the left of the pages and send it to us with the fee applicable or register in the shop.
CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
All members are bound by the full conditions of membership of scrap creative reuse.
The following rules apply:
Before using Scrap your membership cards must be handed into the front desk.
No card - no collection/purchase of materials.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Waste materials must not be used for commercial use. Any member found selling our materials at car boot sales will have their membership withdrawn. It only takes one person selling our waste to risk losing us a company that supplies to us on a good-will basis.
If your membership is out of date by more than three weeks you will not be able to use the centre.
Only the person named on the card can use the centre
Cardholders cannot bring non-members into scrap to make collections or purchases.
Please tell us if you move address or change the name/address of your contact person.
Cash or Cheques only are accepted at scrap
Personal cheques will be accepted only when covered by a valid banker’s card.
Credit invoices will not be issued unless accompanied by an official order on headed paper £25.00 is the minimum amount
If your organisation has an invoice which is more than one month overdue, no further invoices will be issued.
Renewal of membership - Membership will be backdated to the date of expiry and will last one year from that date regardless of the date of the renewal fee was received.
ORGANISATIONS PLEASE LIST EIGHT MEMBERS OF YOUR ORGANISATION TO COLLECT MATERIALS
MEMBERSHIP CARDS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE
ANYONE FOUND USING THEIR MEMBERSHIP CARD ON BEHALF OF ANOTHER ORGANISATION/INDIVIDUAL WILL HAVE THEIR OWN MEMBERSHIP WITHDRAWN.
Organisations can be invoiced for resources and can either pay through Leeds City Council or by company Cheque.
